Many students have passed through the halls of Institution Mixte de Regnier, Cayes, Haiti (IMR); this post highlights some of the achievements of three recent graduates as they moved onto college!
Widnau Jean, the top 2018 graduate of IMR, will be attending Institut Universitaire de L’ouest on a full scholarship. He will be majoring in administration.
Clonick Signon, the second top 2018 graduate of IMR, will also be attending Institut Universitaire de L’ouest on scholarship. When posed with the problem of transportation to the university, he began supporting himself financially by helping people with their gardens.
Sterline Duclair, a 2017 graduate of IMR, is currently in her second year of teaching school. She plans on returning back to IMR to work as an educator through an internship.
Peterson Laguerre, a 2017 graduate of IMR, received two scholarships; one from an IMR alumnus, a civil engineer, who also offered the student room and board and the other from a donor, Jeanne Paule Noel, RN, in New York. The combination of these scholarships will cover Laguerre’s cost of attending Université Polyvalente d’Haïti.
