Greeting to friends and supporters,
The Association for the Children of Regnier, Haiti Inc. (ACR) takes great pride in welcoming you to our website. Over the years, ACR has strived to advise, instruct, and empower our community to become self-sufficient. Currently, we educate nearly 400 students, from nursery to secondary school with the support of our teachers and staff.
ACR’s biggest challenge for the 2016-2017 school year was to open grade 13th (Philo), the last secondary class that would allow our students to proceed with their dream of obtaining a college education. That year, we suffered a major setback caused by Hurricane Matthew, yet through the resiliency of our students, staff, and supporters, we made great stride in many areas. First, a majority of our students succeeded in passing the Haiti’s National Exam. Second, our 9th graders recorded a 100% passing rate for the National Standard Test. Moreover, with the generosity of our friends at Gaskov Clerge Foundation and With Love Organization, we were able to reconstruct the cafeteria roof that was destroyed by hurricane Matthew.
ACR’s goals could not be achieved without the assistance of our committed staff and supporters. We are grateful to our professional men and women, working in various fields, who have contributed their time, energy, and expertise to positively impact the community at large. Booker T. Washington once wrote,
“Those who are happiest are those who do the most for others.”
Each day is a challenge, but it is our aspiration that ACR will continue to grow in membership, affiliations, and resources. Whatever amount you can give, please know that it is deeply appreciated and has changed the lives of many in our Regnier community.
With gratitude for your continued support,
Maryse Cadet
